McCann & Braham were instructed by a global energy business who were seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior HR professional to help support the leadership team in implementing a progressive forward thinking human resources function for a world class asset based on the island of Leyte, Philippines.
Reporting directly into the CEO the HR Director would be responsible for developing the learning programme at site and putting in place organizational structures, appraisal systems, training / skills development, recruitment plans, policies and procedures to help support the growth and development of the asset.
Additional responsibilities included union & industrial relations, community relations, training, security, housing, school and local estate management.
This search was particularly challenging due to the location and mix of required skills and languages needed to be successful. Given the nature of the business the ideal candidate would have to be internationally trained with a resources background and a minimum of 10 years + HR & L&D experience, preferably CIPD or with a similar international qualification.
